Welcome to the wiki for the International AIDS Vigil, a public memorial to all those who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS. Over 7,000 people filled Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Canada for this solemn event, which took place August 17, 2006, part of the XVI Annual International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2006).burclar

Thanks to everyone who attended and to the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a reality.

Please visit our Newsroom to view coverage of the event. You might also want to catch what the CBC missed on YouTube (i.e. the highlight of the evening ... a stunning medly from the musical "Rent" performed by SPLASH from The Etobicoke School of the Arts).
